Camp Ozark sits about 6 miles west of Mount Ida, roughly 15 miles from Lake Ouachita and 40 miles from Hot Springs — right in the heart of our guiding waters. If you’re in town for a visitor weekend, drop-off, or pickup, a half-day float on the Ouachita or Caddo River is an easy add to your trip. We can work around camp schedules and meet near Mount Ida or Glenwood.

Good for: parents and families with a few hours to spare between camp visits.

Bathhouse Row, the historic hot springs, and miles of hiking trails make Hot Springs National Park a natural stop before or after a day on the water. Pair a morning hike with an afternoon smallmouth float on the Ouachita — both are within easy reach of Hot Springs.

Good for: combining a national park visit with a guided fishing trip in the same day.

Clear water, forested shoreline, and some of the best paddling in the state. If you’re camping or staying at Lake Ouachita State Park, we guide trips nearby and can show you the headwaters that feed beautiful Lake Ouachita.

Good for: campers, paddlers, and anyone already on the lake looking to try fly fishing.

Known for its crystal digging and rockhounding, Mount Ida draws visitors looking to dig their own quartz at one of the local mines. It’s also right in the middle of our guiding territory on the Ouachita and Caddo Rivers, so a morning of digging pairs easily with an afternoon on the water.

Good for: families splitting a day between digging and fishing.
